The Master Builder paid me a visit and showed me how to do it. Notice the tower standing free of the wall.

This is a small domed chamber I built under the bench. It is a good location to place candles and one doesn't see the flame from in there, just the light.

I placed the stucco grooves of the bricks facing inside and I like the pattern. So I may not stucco the surface after all.
